Coming Productions

American Heritage Center for the Arts is pleased to present its SPRING SEASON!

Starting the season is the (Freshman/Sophomore) High School play, The DINING ROOM. In A. R. Gurney’s brilliantly structured play, an ensemble of actors portray a wide, diverse range of characters – from little boys to grandfathers, from giggling girls to housemaids. The action takes place in an upper middle-class American dining room, the hub of social family life, comprising a mosaic of interrelated scenes, sometimes funny, sometimes touching, which together create a profound study of the decaying mores of the American WASP. Each vignette introduces a new set of people and events, each in a different time period. You will have a great time if you join us at THE DINING ROOM.

Show dates are February 27 – March 3 at 7:00 PM in our Studio Theatre. Tickets are $17 for Adults and $12 for students (6th grade & lower). Faculty and Upper School students receive a free ticket with their school ID.

Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain… or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts? Come find out, and bring the whole family, it is fun for all!

Closing out our Fall Season, the High School will perform On The Town. The publisher says,

“With the pomp and fanfare of New York City, the brassy lyricism of Leonard Bernstein, and the sweet immediacy of a day of freedom during a time of war, On the Town is an American classic, beloved both for its moment in history and for its timeless qualities of youth and exuberance. The show follows the adventures of three sailors on leave for just 24 hours in the great city of New York before heading off to battle in World War II. Goofy ladies’ man Ozzie is looking for a date, studious, and innocent Chip, guidebook in hand has several days’ worth of tourist attractions to see. But when idealistic Gabey falls for the photograph of lovely Miss Turnstiles they all join in an ambitious scavenger hunt around the city to locate this dream girl -- and, on the way, find all of the romance, adventure, and New York atmosphere for which they could wish.”

Show dates are April 11 - 14 at 7:00 PM in our Main Theatre. Tickets are $17 for Adults and $12 for students (6th grade & lower). Faculty and Upper School students receive a free ticket with their school ID.
