Lacrosse - Varsity Girls

American Heritage is excited to announce a new era for the Patriots Girls’ Lacrosse program with the addition of new Head Coach, Jenna Slade and Assistant Coach, Jody Julmice.

Jenna Slade takes over the reigns of the program after a two-year stint with the Calvary Christian Academy Girls’ lacrosse program working with both the junior high and varsity girls programs, where she was a former player. During her playing years, she was both a defender and attacker. After graduating, Jenna decided to study in her hometown versus accepting a scholarship to play lacrosse and has since earned her Bachelor of Science in Environment Science from Broward College. In addition to her experience at Calvary Christian Academy she has coached various local club teams and youth programs. “Coach Jen” believes that placing focus on the "process of practice" rather than the result of individual games is what leads a team to victory. She is committed to creating an environment that will help build character and form positive relationships among players. Coach Slade will be working at American Heritage full time and is excited to work with our girls' lacrosse program! Coach Slade will be holding a team information meeting soon and may be contacted via email at

Jody Julmice, one of American Heritage Girls’ Lacrosse most successful alumni, joins the staff as an Assistant Girls' Lacrosse Coach! While Jody attended Heritage, she was chosen as a US Lacrosse Girls’ High School First Team All-American for the program in 2015, scoring 107 goals that season. She also played for the Under Armour South team her senior year. A four-year starter and two-year captain here, she currently holds all Girls’ Lacrosse scoring records at American Heritage. Jody was a five-sport athlete playing Volleyball, Soccer, Girls Basketball, Track & Field, and Girls Lacrosse with many district and state honors across all five sports. She was the American Heritage Girls’ “Athlete of the Year” in 2015. Upon graduation, Jody was a four- year starter for Jacksonville University where she helped the Dolphins to three ASUN Conference Championships and three NCAA Division 1 Women's Lacrosse Championship tournament appearances. During her senior year, Jody was awarded the first-ever “Win the Day” award at Jacksonville University, which is presented in honor of the late men's lacrosse captain, Corey Lovrich. The award is presented to a student-athlete who has overcome adversity through the attributes of spirit, determination, and courage. Jody graduated in 2019 with a Bachelors of Science in Sports Business.
