Toy Drive for Broward Health pediatric oncology patients

Our Pre-Med society, along with A Road for the Cure Foundation, had their holiday party Toy Drive Caravan where the kids at Broward Health pediatric oncology received the Christmas gifts they wanted. It was amazing to see them light up with smiles when they got their presents while enjoying the company of adorable therapy dogs!

With this Toy Drive event, the children were able to receive their gifts this holiday season. The students hand-wrapped all of the gifts and placed them in the trunk of their cars, all decorated for the holidays. The patients' faces brightened up, with joyful eyes and smiles hidden behind their masks, while receiving their gifts.

The A Road for the Cure Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of the children afflicted with cancer at Broward Health. On a normal year, they work hard and tirelessly to raise money for their annual Holiday Party and use the donations to purchase all of the gifts on the children’s Christmas wish lists, which their families are usually unable to afford due to the costly medical care of childhood cancer.
