The Wolves - Thespian Troupe #6007
Congratulations to the Fine Arts Department for their performance of The Wolves! The show was amazing and the cast did a great job. Our American Heritage Schools Palm Beach campus, Thespian Troupe #6007, will perform this as their One-Act Competition piece in early December. Take a look at some photos and read more about the play and from the experiences of senior Amanda Miller, who played #46, and senior Miah Farmer, who was our Stage Manager.
Quotes from the cast:
“The Wolves was a really great learning experience. The rehearsal process ran quickly, as the play is under 40 minutes long, so the cast bonded very fast. It didn’t take us long to realize not only were we a team on-stage but also one off-stage, and that was a great feeling to be supported by all of my friends. This show taught me a lot about friendship and how we all needed each other to succeed. The constant talent that was being brought every day pushed the other actresses to work hard to top it, and it was cool to see new choices being made in the process. I am so grateful I got to be in this wonderful show and meet many new faces who I can now call some of my closest friends.” Amanda Miller, Class of 2022
“I am extremely honored to be a part of The Wolves' creative team. This show is so different from anything else I’ve been a part of, and seeing how all of the girls accepted the challenge and committed to their roles has been amazing. I felt they truly were a team on and off the field. I feel lucky to have had a great tech and creative team supporting me through the rehearsal process. The show is fast-paced and the blocking was often meticulous, and without their help, the performances would not have been nearly as successful. My favorite part about this show is how it combines theater with a very different subject. A play about a sports team is a relatively simple idea, but because of it, the actors were able to explore characters and conflicts that were relatable to them. There was something very real and authentic about it. While it took some practice to teach them to play like real soccer players, I have been very pleased with the results so far and have loved every second working on this show.” Miah Farmer, Class of 2023
