Pre-Medical Superheroes Fulfill Wishes of Pediatric Cancer Patients at Broward Health
The superheroes have returned! Students from the Pre-Medical Program at American Heritage Schools, Broward and Palm Beach Campuses, have donned their capes and organized the 24th Annual Superhero Party at the Salah Pediatric Oncology Hospital at Broward Health Medical Center for pediatric cancer patients.
Young heroes decorated the auditorium with superhero-themed ornaments and lights the night before the event. The students had a blast interacting with the pediatric cancer patients while playing games and creating crafts. However, the main goal of the event is to help the children write their wish lists for Santa! For each list, the students plan to raise funds to make those wishes come true at the holiday party in December.
The hospital staff, along with Mina Amini, Regional Director of Physician Services, and Heather Havericak, Broward Health Medical Center CEO, supported the students in their mission to brighten the lives of young superheroes battling cancer at the Salah Pediatric Oncology Unit. The Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital at Broward Health Medical Center is a vital resource for comprehensive pediatric hematology-oncology care in South Florida, committed to research and compassionate patient support.
