New York City was their stage for a weekend and they took advantage of it all. Congratulations to our Dance Competition Teams for their participation at the Tremaine Dance Competition and Convention in New York. They brought home top places in different categories. Take a look!

 

Large Open: 1st place 

Large Lyrical: 1st place 

Small group Hip hop: 1st place 

Small Group Tap: 1st place

Large group Contemporary: 2nd Place

Large group Jazz: 2nd place

Small Group Lyrical: 2nd place 

Trio: 2nd place 

Soloist, Maddie Gross: 2nd in the teen lyrical category

Soloist, Katie Timmins: 2nd in the senior lyrical category and 2nd overall soloist

 

Congratulations to our small group tap number, “September” for being selected for the Judges' ovation award and Katie Timmins for placing 2nd overall in the senior solo division out of 52 other soloists. Katie was also chosen as a scholarship finalist for the convention! 

 

The dancers also had the amazing opportunity to take a private master class with a cast member from the broadway show, “Wicked”, and learn some of the actual choreography from the show.
