Class of 2024 and National Merit Semifinalist Receives YoungArts Award With Distinction

We are excited to announce that Anaïs Dufresne Powell, Class of 2024 and National Merit Semifinalist, has been honored with the prestigious YoungArts Award With Distinction from The National Foundation for the Advancement of Artists, in recognition of her artistic achievement. This accolade is a testament to Anaïs's exceptional technique, sophisticated artistic point of view, and depth of thinking that far surpasses her peers at this career stage.

The YoungArts Award With Distinction holds a special significance, as it invites winners to participate in National YoungArts Week, an intensive program for award winners with distinction to collaborate with peers across 10 disciplines, develop their craft with internationally recognized leaders in their fields, and create lifelong connections.

Moreover, artists are eligible for financial awards of up to $10,000 as well as a nomination for U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts.

The rigorous blind adjudication process, conducted by highly accomplished artists in their fields, underscores the caliber of Anaïs's artistic achievement. Recipients at every tier of recognition receive mentorship and financial rewards, access to a lifetime of opportunities for creative and professional development, and inclusion in an inspiring, intergenerational community that fosters connections, creativity, and collaboration among artists.

Anaïs' dedication, artistic excellence, and unique perspective have not only set her apart but also have served as an inspiration to fellow artists and the entire community. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Anaïs on this remarkable accomplishment.
