The 4th annual Heroes event at the American Heritage Schools, Center for the Arts, in Broward, was a triumph! With an overwhelming turnout and generous contributions from sponsors, donors, and attendees, this year's event surpassed all expectations, raising an impressive $66,000. This remarkable achievement stands as a testament to the unwavering support and dedication of the community towards the cause of aiding the visually impaired.

The event, themed as a "Speakeasy Soiree" featuring Mitch Franco, celebrated the resilience and courage of individuals living with vision impairments, honoring them as true heroes. Guests were treated to a delightful evening starting with cocktails and a silent auction at 5:00 pm, followed by a concert and live auction.

Throughout the night, guests had the opportunity to bid on an array of enticing items in both the silent and live auctions. From luxury getaways to exclusive experiences, the generosity of donors was on full display, driving the fundraising efforts to new heights.

Thanks to the support and participation of attendees, sponsors, and volunteers, the event was a resounding success. With 200 tickets sold and a total of $66,000 raised through sponsorships, donations, ticket sales, and auctions, this year's fundraising efforts surpassed all expectations.

The proceeds from the event will support the Lighthouse of Broward, the only private, non-profit organization in Broward County providing comprehensive educational, rehabilitation, and counseling services to blind and visually impaired individuals. With over 2,590 beneficiaries ranging from babies to seniors, the impact of these funds will be far-reaching and transformative.
