Fine Arts Students Sweep Kravis Center’s Musical Theater Awards

American Heritage Schools, Palm Beach Campus, is celebrating a remarkable night of victories at the recent Kravis Center Dream Awards, a prestigious event dedicated to honoring musical theater excellence in Palm Beach County. Our talented students secured all three awards for which they were nominated, a clean sweep that highlights their dedication and skill in the fine arts.
The Kravis Center Dream Awards annually presents a showcase demonstrating the achievements of high school musical theater students. A key part of this celebration involves a panel of judges selecting one male and one female student to represent Palm Beach County at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmy Awards, in New York City. Winners receive round-trip airfare, accommodation, and an intensive week of workshops with Broadway professionals, including performers, producers, directors, and casting agents, before competing for the national title.

Jonathan Jacknow was named Outstanding Lead Actor for his exceptional performance. This significant honor means Jonathan will travel to New York City in a few weeks to participate in the Jimmy Awards. There, he and other top students from across the country will stay at the Juilliard School dormitories, engage in workshops led by theatre professionals, receive coaching from Broadway veterans, and perform in the Jimmy Awards showcase on the Minskoff Theatre stage, right on Broadway. This is a very big accomplishment and an incredible opportunity!
American Heritage also proudly recognizes the following students for their outstanding work:
- Outstanding Lighting Design: Jonathan Jacknow, Sophia Luque, and Jack O'Donnell
- Outstanding Sound Design: Andrew Auster and Simone Zickl
We are so proud of Jonathan, Sophia, Jack, Andrew and Simone for their hard work and these well-deserved awards. Their success shines a bright light on the strength of the Fine Arts Program at American Heritage and the brilliant talent of our students in Palm Beach County.
