"Notes For Life" Brings Service & Song to Greenacres Senior Citizens

“Notes For Life,” a student-led nonprofit founded by our own senior, Marcelo Salas, recently organized a heartwarming musical performance at the Greenacres Community Center. This special event demonstrated a powerful example of student service and the joy of sharing music with the local community.

The performance featured talented student musicians, including Marcelo Salas and Gabriela Salas from American Heritage Schools, Palm Beach Campus, alongside students from Dreyfoos and BAK schools. The concert was specifically designed for an audience primarily made up of senior citizens, who enjoyed the repertoire and expressed appreciation for the students’ talent and enthusiasm. The time and care given to this performance reflect a deep commitment to giving back and a genuine passion for music.

This community service event was particularly meaningful, as students chose to dedicate their time on a holiday/no school day, showing their dedication to community connection. Notes For Life continues its mission to blend youth service with the arts, offering unique opportunities for student musicians to use their skills for the benefit of others.
