10th Grader Named Finalist in Young Playwrights Competition

We have some exciting news to share from our theatre department at American Heritage Schools, Palm Beach Campus. 10th-grader Nia Lambrou has been named a finalist in the Palm Beach Dramaworks Young Playwrights Competition.

Nia’s original 10-minute play, Airplane Mode, was selected as one of the top ten scripts out of nearly 100 entries from all over Palm Beach County. This is a significant accomplishment for a young writer and a great reflection of the talent within our Playprep & Production program.

Because of this selection, Nia is set to become a published playwright. Her work will be included in a special anthology, and she was awarded a monetary prize for her achievement. 

The best part? You can see her work come to life. Professional actors will perform Airplane Mode live on the Palm Beach Dramaworks stage on Tuesday, March 3, at 7:00 PM.  This event is a wonderful way for the community to support local student talent.
