We are proud to announce 4 AHS seniors have been

selected as 2018 Presidential Scholar Candidates.

Congratulations to our Candidates:

Each year, over 4,500 candidates are identified for the program that focuses on academic achievement and exceptional scores on the SAT or ACT. Approximately 600 semifinalists will be chosen, and then the Commission will select up to 161 U.S. Presidential Scholars in April. Scholars will enjoy an expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., where they will be honored in a National Recognition Program. They will also have the opportunity to meet with government officials and educators, and they will be honored with the Presidential Scholars Medallion.
