Math Team Takes 2023 State Champion
Math Team Takes 2023 State Champion
Tim Notke’s quote, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard,” has been Mr. Rick Rovere’s motto for the math competition program. Over the last few months, our math team has put that talent to work in preparation for the 2023 FAMAT State Convention.
56 talented Mathletes of the Mu Alpha Theta team traveled to Orlando from April 13th to April 16th and took home the 2023 FAMAT State Champions title. Over the course of the weekend, students competed in 41 team and individual events with over 1,100 different mathematics questions.
The Math Team earned 13 team trophies with seven 1st place awards, including 1st Place Overall, State Champions! Additionally, every student from American Heritage Schools, Broward Campus, earned an award, bringing home 142 individual trophies and medals.
Join us in congratulating the students and their coaches on this incredible achievement.
