#1 School in Palm Beach County for Highest Number of National Merit Scholars Semifinalists 

Out of a total of 50,000 students who were recognized high scorers, 26 seniors in our Class of 2022 have been named National Merit Scholars Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC)®. This puts American Heritage Schools, Palm Beach Campus, at the top in Palm Beach County for all private and public schools with the highest number of National Merit Scholars Semifinalists, #2 school in Florida and the #5 private school in the nation.

Additionally, 24 seniors received National Commended Scholar status. More than two-thirds (about 34,000) of the approximately 50,000 high scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT receive Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise. Although Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, some of these students do become candidates for Special Scholarships sponsored by corporations and businesses.

American Heritage’s Broward and Palm Beach campuses are the #1 and #2, respectively, with the most National Merit Scholars Semifinalists out of all private and public schools in Florida and make up 9% of all National Merit Scholars Semifinalists of all schools in the state (Florida has 2,227 schools - Private & Public).
