The Class of 2025 has a total of 31 students who were named National Merit Scholars Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC)®.
The Palm Beach Campus is #1 in Palm Beach County and the #2 school in Florida among all private and public schools for the highest number of National Merit Scholar Semifinalists. Among the Class of 2025, an impressive 1 in 7 students earned this prestigious recognition.
With 31 National Merit Scholar Semifinalists out of the 16,000 high scorers—representing less than 1% of the nation’s high school seniors—these students have the opportunity to advance in the competition for Merit Scholarship® awards.
Additionally, 24 seniors were named National Commended Scholars, a distinction awarded to the top two-thirds of the 50,000 high scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT for their exceptional academic potential. Furthermore, 26 seniors were recognized under the National Recognition Program, which recognized students who are African American, Hispanic, Indigenous, or First Generation.
American Heritage Schools continue to lead in state rankings, with the Broward and Palm Beach campuses holding the #1 and #2 spots among all private and public schools in Florida for the most National Merit Scholar Semifinalists. Together, these two campuses account for an impressive 9% of all National Merit Scholar Semifinalists in the state, underscoring their commitment to academic excellence and student achievement.
