Ranked #1 School in Florida For The Highest Number of National Merit Scholars for the 14th Consecutive Year

94 National Merit Scholars Semifinalists & 74 National Commended Scholars in the Class of 2024

For an impressive 14 consecutive years, American Heritage Schools has held the coveted #1 spot for the highest number of National Merit Scholars in Florida. Once again, American Heritage Schools, Broward Campus, have ranked as the #1 school in Florida and #2 private school in the nation and the Palm Beach campus as #2 in Florida and #3 private school in the nation with the highest number of National Merit Scholars Semifinalists. The students from both campuses comprise 10% of all semifinalists throughout the 2,227 public and private high schools in Florida.

  • 94 Seniors (54 - Broward campus; 40 - Palm Beach campus) were named National Merit Semifinalists
  • 10% of all National Merit Scholars in the state of Florida are from American Heritage Schools
  • 1 in 6 students in the Class of 2024 are National Merit Semifinalists
  • 14th consecutive year with the highest number of National Semifinalists in Florida
  • For 10 consecutive years, AHS has been the #1 or #2 private school in the nation with the highest number of National Merit Semifinalists

A combined total of 94 seniors were named National Merit Semifinalists out of the 16,000 semifinalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Additionally, 74 seniors received National Commended Scholar status.

Their brilliance extends far beyond the classroom, showcasing a truly extraordinary commitment that inspires us all,"  Laurie added.
 
Beyond the prospect of securing millions of dollars in potential scholarships, these exceptional students are now presented with a wealth of new opportunities for their collegiate journeys, instilling a profound sense of confidence in their future prospects. It is worth noting, according to the esteemed National Merit Scholarship organization, that prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, the University of Chicago, and Vanderbilt have consistently embraced and enrolled the greatest number of National Merit Scholars.
