Superb ranks for our Lower School Speech & Debate Club at the SCJFL

Our Lower School Speech & Debate Club competed in their first tournament of the year and did a great job! Hosted by the Southern California Junior Forensics League (SCJFL), the tournament had about 200 students in attendance representing 15 elementary schools from across the country. Each and every one of our students received wonderful ranks, and the following students advanced to the final rounds and will be receiving an award. Congratulations to our young debaters. Keep up the good work, Patriots!

🔸 Sydney Ramkissoon (4th grade) - 2nd Place

The SCJFL has been in existence for over 20 years. What began as a small league with only 4-6 schools, has slowly grown into a large community of participants. Since 2010, the membership, comprised of public schools, private schools, and after-school organizations, has grown to over 20 participating members, all working towards the same goal: to prove that students are capable of competing at a high level while still maintaining sportsmanship and respect for all competitors, both expert, and novice.
