Superb Job at VAMUN, the University of Virginia Model UN Conference

Our Model UN students had an amazing weekend at VAMUN, the University of Virginia Model UN Conference. Because of SATs, college applications, and Mock Trial trips, 13 of the 20 delegates were total novices and had never competed in Model UN previously. However, they received a tremendous experience at one of the most challenging, difficult, and competitive conferences around, and they did a superb job.

They also had an incredible time in Charlottesville. The group bonded spectacularly and visited Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, where they walked the "house tour," and did a special "slavery tour," witnessing history from an entirely different perspective. They enjoyed the campus in beautiful fall weather and peak foliage and spent a lot of quality time with Logan Kapit and Jackson Arnberg, two of our former MUN presidents, who are sophomores at UVA. Logan chaired the largest committee at VAMUN. Congratulations to the following students:

Honorable Delegate:
• Saatvik Kaul
• Carolina Sanchez-Torres
• Carol Barcellos Tucunduva
• Conselo Phelan

Verbal Commendation:
• Andres Teixeira Ferreira
• Andres Tortorella
