After a year of training, our Junior High Heritage Patriots were prepared for this very moment - the chance to compete at the Middle School National Speech & Debate Association National Tournament. With over 1,071 student entries representing 171 middle schools from 43 states as well as additional territories and countries including Canada, China, India, Saipan, Taiwan, and Uganda, our team emerged at the top of the nation, being one of only FIVE schools to be named a “Speech School of Excellence”.

This year's middle school portion of the tournament was held online and featured both asynchronous and synchronous competitions. The NSDA National Tournament is the largest academic competition in the world with over 7,000 students in both high school and middle school from all 50 states as well as numerous additional territories and countries.
