Business Students Completed Internship Experience at Global Logistics Company

Business & Entrepreneurship students participated in an immersive internship experience at DHL Global Forwarding, providing a specialized look into the global logistics industry.

Students engaged directly with several key DHL leaders and team members, including the Americas CIO, the Head of Customs Brokerage, and the Warehouse Manager. The day's itinerary was strategically designed to offer a comprehensive view of DHL as one of the largest employers globally and to affirm the breadth of available career opportunities.

The student interns gained practical insight through a presentation, a guided warehouse tour that detailed current operational processes and how a freight forwarder drives profitability, and a hands-on interactive brainstorming exercise. In this exercise, students collaborated to explore the potential role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing various aspects of the business. The students also met with TSA handlers and their security dogs, exploring the complex security elements of global logistics.

The experience successfully demonstrated that DHL offers diverse career paths and emphasized the importance of collaboration and impactful work within the logistics industry.
