Alumni Jonathan Maisel at Epcot's Candlelight Choir

#2010Alumni Jonathan Maisel continues to live his childhood dream! From as early as he can remember, Jonathan wanted to be a part of the Disney organization. His Fine Arts journey began in the 4th grade when he performed in the AHS' Main Stage production of "Titanic" and was continually cast in the school's theatre productions. As an AHS Academy student, he learned how to balance his academics and love for the Arts. As a young boy, he would dress up in a graduation gown, hold a candle, and sing Christmas Carols in hopes that someday he would be a member of the Candlelight Choir! Freshman year (2006) brought about an adventure that would continue through 2021, by being a member of the AHS choirs: He performed in the Epcot Candlelight Processional! Take a look at the video:

Who would have known that it would be the start of performing in the Candlelight choir for 15 straight years. Graduating in 2010, Jonathan headed off to the University of West Florida where he double-majored in Hospitality and Musical Theatre. The dream continued when he was accepted into Disney College and was subsequently hired to work at Disney World. He used his degrees to work in hospitality for Disney and eventually became the Guest Experience Manager - Entertainment. The year 2021 came along and Jonathan has now become the Candlelight Cast Choir manager, along with his other duties. In the words of Walt Disney, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” Not only is Disney “The Happiest Place on Earth” or “The Most Magical Place on Earth," but for Jonathan, it truly is “Where Dreams Come True.”
