The Fine Arts Department achieved major success at the District 13 Senior Thespian One-Act Festival. The event, held at Nova Southeastern University School, saw the theatre department proudly present its fall play, Checking In.

Under the direction of Brett Scott, the dedicated team of student performers, technicians, and crew earned an impressive five awards. The students confirmed their talent and professionalism both onstage and behind the scenes, adhering to the festival's strict time limits for the 40-minute performance and strike.

The top awards won at the Senior Thespian Festival included:

  • Best Superior Play
  • Alternate Play for Mainstage in Tampa
  • Best Actor All-Star Cast (awarded to Matthew Squeri)
  • Best Featured Actor (awarded to Daniel Font-Wilets)
  • Best Tech All-Star Cast (awarded to Daniel Harper)

The recognition as Best Superior Play and Alternate Play for Mainstage confirmed the high quality of the production and the students' dedication to theatre arts. The entire theatre department celebrated the talent and professionalism of the team!
