Choral Students Secure Top Marks at State Solo & Ensemble Evaluations

The Fine Arts Vocal Department from American Heritage Schools, Broward Campus, achieved premier recognition at the 2026 Florida School Music Association (FSMA) State Music Performance Assessment (MPA) and Solo & Ensemble competition. Performing before an elite panel of professional adjudicators, the choral ensembles and soloists demonstrated advanced vocal technique, sight-reading literacy, and harmonic precision to capture top ratings across multiple competitive divisions.

Standardized Choral Evaluation Metrics

The state-level Music Performance Assessment represents the highest tier of evaluation for scholastic vocal programs across Florida. Ensembles are judged on strict professional criteria, including vocal production, intonation, rhythmic accuracy, and interpretation of classical repertoire literature. To earn the Straight Superiors, an ensemble must secure a flawless score from every single judge on the panel.
