Heather Weissman is an experienced marketing and sales professional. She started her career in the entertainment industry at HBO as a marketing professional and then had an opportunity to help launch a new record label. She had various roles at the new label and assumed the publicist executive position for artists including the band Creed.

Her experience in the entertainment industry also allowed her the opportunity to transition to the pharmaceutical industry at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. There she was involved in sales and marketing working across many different drugs including some of the leading anti-depressants and psych-pharmaceuticals in the industry. She has won multiple top sales presidential awards and served as an Area Field Trainer.

After nine years at Wyeth, she joined GlaxoSmithKline in a sales and marketing specialist role educating doctors about their line of respiratory drugs and promoting GSK overall in the marketplace. Heather had much success in developing and executing marketing strategies to create strong customer relationships and drive business expansion.

Heather graduated with high honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Communications degree in Advertising and a minor in Marketing.

And, while she has been out of the pharmaceutical industry for a couple of years, it has been very exciting for her to currently hold the role of Vice President and board member of a non-profit organization called The Friendship Journey. The Friendship Journey unites individuals of all abilities through equitable opportunities and lasting friendships. Heather was instrumental in creating and launching a new division of The Friendship Journey which is a virtual summer camp for teens and adults with disabilities as a direct response to the Covid-19 crisis.
