Math Patriots Win State Titles, Extend 19-Year Private School Streak

The American Heritage Schools, Broward Campus Mathematics Competition Team earned significant honors at the 2026 Florida Association of Mu Alpha Theta (FAMAT) State Convention in Orlando. A delegation of 64 students traveled to the tournament to compete against top public and private school math programs from across the state.

American Heritage Schools maintained its position as the number one K-12 private school in the state of Florida for the 19th consecutive year. The team won the state championship in the Statistics division, earned the top award for the best Digital Scrapbook, and secured the second-place overall institutional sweepstakes trophy.

The state tournament evaluates advanced mathematics students across divisions based on their current course levels: Theta (Geometry and Algebra II), Alpha (Pre-Calculus), Statistics, and Mu (Calculus). Students participate in individual examinations, rapid-fire ciphering rounds, and collaborative team bowl events.
