6 State Champion Titles at Business Competition
American Heritage Schools, Broward Campus, DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) club made waves at the Florida DECA State Competition, held at the beginning of March in Orlando. DECA’s website states its mission is to “prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.”
With an impressive showing, the second-year DECA team clinched an astounding six State Champion titles, solidifying their position as formidable contenders in the world of competitive business. Forty-six students from the American Heritage DECA chapter earned top awards, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication to mastering business concepts and skills. Their outstanding performance has allowed them to represent their school and community at the International DECA competition in Anaheim, California, at the end of April.
At the Florida DECA State Competition, American Heritage Schools, Broward Campus, demonstrated their prowess with an impressive tally of 24 students securing spots within the top 5 positions statewide. This remarkable achievement speaks volumes about the depth of talent within the DECA club and reflects the rigorous preparation and commitment of its members. As they gear up for the International DECA competition, these top qualifying students are poised to compete alongside over 20,000 high school students from across the globe, further honing their business acumen and preparing for future success in college and careers.
