Mina Amini, AHS ’10, combined her passion for medicine with her flair for business in her current position at Broward Health. She attended American Heritage School for six years and participated in the Pre-Med program throughout high school. After she graduated from Heritage in 2010, Mina earned her B.S from Nova Southeastern University and then worked in an internship program at Broward Health. She stayed on as a full employee at Broward Health after the internship ended and then returned to NSU where Mina received her MBA in Entrepreneurship. An entrepreneur at heart, while in graduate school, Mina started her own business. It was a trendy online children’s clothing company called Milk ‘n Cookies. Today, Mina is the Director of Physician Services at Broward Health Medical Center. She has fond memories of her time at AHS, where she was also a member of the choir and Spanish Honors Society. Advice Mina would give to students at Heritage? “Take advantage of ALL opportunities at AHS. Network, network, network! You never know who you will meet and where they can take you.” A lesson she learned and put to good use as evident in her successful career today.
