American Learning Systems
William R. Laurie opened reading centers, tutoring services, and schools for children with mild learning differences.
- 1965
American Heritage Schools
American Heritage Schools and American Academy opened three locations in South Florida.
- 1971
Broward Campus
• 2001: A brand new 100k sq. ft. Center for the Arts featuring a 900 seat Proscenium stage theater opened.
• 2014: Environmental Education Center was expanded to include a butterfly garden, certified wildlife habitat, and outdoor environmental classroom.
• 2020: A brand new 50k sq. ft. Heritage Gymnasium and English, Pre-Business, and Communications Building opened.
• 2021: A new and upgraded Student Center and Food Court, which seats 600 students and has two student lounges, opened.
• 2023: Lower School Library was renovated with a custom treehouse reading room created by Artisan Industry, LLC.

Land Expansion & Summer Programs
Mr. Laurie continued to purchase land totaling 40 acres in the early 1980s and the first summer programs began on campus.

Dr. Douglas Laurie
Dr. Douglas Laurie, M.Ed., D.C., joined his father as an educator and administrator in 1997.
- 1997
Palm Beach Campus
• 2006: Dining Hall was expanded and upgraded.
• 2007: Upper School Media Center debuted new state-of-the-art upgrades.
• 2009: A brand new Fine Arts Building opened.
• 2012: Lower School Library, Lower School Media Center, and Junior High Building were renovated.
• 2019: Science & Engineering Building, which houses the most powerful microscope in the world, was upgraded with new labs and classrooms.
• 2022: Environmental Education Area was expanded to include a butterfly garden and two Lower School playgrounds. A new and upgraded TV Production Studio also opened.

Pre-Professional Programs
The first Pre-Professional Program, Pre-Medical, began.
- 2000
Elite SAT/ACT Readiness Program
Students have the opportunity to prepare for the SAT/ACT through comprehensive classes and in-class prep integrated into their curriculum.

Technology & Innovation Program
The Technology & Innovation Program launched with first-generation Apple iPads.
- 2009
Advanced Mathematics Program
The Advanced Mathematics Program began in the Lower School curriculum.

New Vice-President
Mrs. Leslie Laurie Wood, M.Ed., Ed.S., joined her father and brother in administration in 2012.

Innovation Labs
Innovation Labs were built for Lower School on the Broward Campus and Palm Beach Campus.
- 2017
Summer Education Live Online Courses
Live online Junior High and High School courses launched at the Summer Institute.
- 2020
Transportation Service Expansion
Luxury vans and SUVs joined the transportation fleet for student pick up and drop off.
