Early College Acceptances at American Heritage School
#1 Private School In The Nation
National Merit Scholars
Broward and Palm Beach, Florida - The prestigious American Heritage School, Broward campus is the #1 private school in the United States and #1 high school in Florida for the highest number of National Merit Scholars; the school’s second campus in Palm Beach is #2 in National Merit Scholars out of all private schools in Florida. Their combined students from both campuses comprise 10 percent of all National Merit Scholars throughout the 2,227 public and private schools in Florida. 

A combined total of 74 seniors were named National Merit Finalists out of the 16,000 Semifinalists. This marks the 11th consecutive year American Heritage has had the highest number of National Merit Finalists in Florida. One in four students in the Class of 2021 scored in the top one percent of students in the nation.

U.S. Presidential Scholars
12 Seniors Nominated
Twelve (12) students from the American Heritage School Class of 2021 have been nominated for the Presidential Scholars award, the nation’s most prestigious recognition for distinguished graduating high school seniors. The program was established in 1964 by executive order of the President, and the application is by invitation only.
Approximately 500 students will be named semi-finalists and the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars will then select 161 outstanding students to receive the nation’s highest scholastic honor. The students are selected based on their academic success, artistic excellence, essays, school evaluations, and transcripts, as well as evidence of community service, leadership, and demonstrated commitment to high ideals.
