Franco Lodato • Instructor
Franco Lodato earned a degree in design from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy. Lodato has worked extensively designing consumer products ranging from phones, razors, children’s toys and climbing tools. He believes in using the designs of nature as the inspiration of his creations.
He is currently the Managing Director of Pininfarina USA, designing cars for the future working with engineers from Motorola and Maserati. As Chief Designer at Motorola Lodato’s team created the Razr phone. Previously while working at Gillette he developed the Mach 3 razor.
Lodato currently teaches the Introduction to Engineering Design class.
