AMERICAN HERITAGE CAMP PHILOSOPHY

The goal of American Heritage Camp is to provide each camper with a happy, healthy, active experience.  Our program offers a variety of activities that will enable each child to enjoy an enriching summer, while making new friends and developing new interests which often last a lifetime.  Our camp staff has been carefully selected on the basis of experience, character, and leadership ability to achieve this goal by setting positive examples and maintaining high standards of excellence in all phases of camp operations.  We all look forward to spending the summer with your family.

A HIGH STAFF TO CAMPER RATIO

A highly qualified, well-trained and mature staff is essential to the success of any program.  We maintain a high staff to camper ratio for the benefit of our campers.  We have brought together a group of coaches and counselors who are friendly, responsive, understanding, and able to provide campers with leadership and guidance.  In addition, each of our instructors has an excellent knowledge of the mechanics of their specialty and the most productive way to convey that knowledge to our campers.  Several of our staff members have been a part of our camp family for over a decade.

CAMPERS 3-14:  CABINS/GROUPING

American Heritage Summer Camp specializes in summer fun for children ages 3-14.  Campers ages 6 and up have three different programs to choose from.  We have our general American Heritage Sports Camp, Musical Theatre Academy, and Young Artists Camp. Cabins for ages 3-5 are co-ed, while ages 6-14 have separate boys’ and girls’ cabins.  Each age level enjoys age appropriate sports, arts, games and other activities supervised by our highly qualified staff.  All cabins (which are classrooms during the school year) are air-conditioned.

DAILY SCHEDULES:  TIME TO HAVE FUN!

Camp is in session Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  A half-day program from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. is available for younger children ages 3 & 4.  They also have the full day option.  Our two beautiful pools offer welcome relief from the summer heat for our campers.  At the beginning of the summer, each camper’s swimming ability is evaluated,, and campers are placed in appropriate level swim groups for instruction.  The swim program at American Heritage is committed to providing age-appropriate, sequential instruction in a safe and non-threatening environment.  All swim instructors and life guards are Red Cross certified.

CARNIVALS, WILD ANIMALS & REPTILES, SLEEPOVERS, & MORE

Each summer, a memorable and important aspect of our camp program is our many unforgettable and exciting special events.  Fun theme days, reptile and wildlife shows, DJ dance parties, and carnivals are just some of the awesome activities planned for the entertainment of the campers.  Other annual traditions we have at camp include 3 sensational carnivals (camp carnival week 2, splash-a-thon week 6, bounce-a-thon week 9)) and the upper camp sleepover with the giant smores celebration and ice cream sundae party during week 7 and 8.  The Camp Olympics is always a favorite to end week 8.  Don’t forget to come and Trick-Or-Treat camp style with us during week 9.

MEALS:  INCLUDED IN TUITION

A morning snack is served.   Lunch is served in our air-conditioned dining hall. A nutritious hot meal, salad bar, pasta bar, soup bar, and Boar's Head sandwich bar are some of the daily choices.  An afternoon popsicle or ice cream is served to cool of the campers.

TRANSPORTATION:  GETTING HERE

Transportation to and from camp is available from most locations throughout Palm Beach and Broward counties.  We do have free transportation to several different areas.  All buses and vans are air conditioned and driven by experienced camp personnel with an appropriate license.

We are looking forward to sharing American Heritage's 29th
summer with your fabulous children!
