COLLEGE APPLICATIONS
Applications to colleges or universities are typically not available on-line or on paper until August 1. Before filling out and submitting an application this summer, check with each university to make sure it is the 2006-2007 application.

IN-HOUSE DEADLINES FOR YOUR COLLEGE APPLICATIONS
September 15 - Submit a list to your guidance counselor of the colleges to which you are applying, and provide the type of deadline (e.g., Early Action) and the deadline date for each college.

October 31 - At least two (2) applications must be completed and mailed, including all supporting documents such as SAT/ACT scores, transcripts, letters of recommendation, and anything else required by the college/university.

REQUESTING TRANSCRIPTS AND LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
A Transcript Request Form must be filled out completely for each college/university to which you are applying and dropped off at the Upper School Office. Allow 2 weeks for processing. Transcripts and letters of recommendation will be mailed directly from American Heritage no earlier than August 29 (following the course add/drop period), because colleges prefer that course schedules have been finalized. Also, colleges like to receive the student’s application before receiving and processing the transcripts and letters of recommendation.
