Broward Art Region

Regional Affiliate: American Heritage and the Center for the Arts Scholarship Foundation

Area of Service: Broward County

Online Registration: Participants and teachers must register at www.artandwriting.org.  Please print 2 copies of the completed submission form and obtain required signatures.  Attach one copy to the artwork.
Regional Instructions/Announcements: All artworks must be received by Saturday, January 16th, 2010. Please note the drop off times below. Make sure the students name; school, teacher, and a phone number are on the back of the artwork. You only need one copy of the registration form. Only the following categories must submit a CD-ROM with the artwork: 3-D, Portfolio, and Photography. The sponsor will professionally photograph all 2-D work, which needs to be forwarded to New York. Follow the format for labeling CD-ROM’s set forth by the National instructions for 3-D, Photography and Portfolio categories.

Deadline and Submission

Please register online prior to January 10, 3:00 p.m. and prior to the delivery date.

Processing Fee: The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the national nonprofit organization that presents The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, requires standardized process fees of $5.00 for each individual category submission and $20.00 for each portfolio submission.  Please submit checks or money orders, made payable to American Heritage School.

Fee Waiver: Any student who currently qualifies under the Federal School Lunch Act for the Free and Reduced Lunch program may request a submission fee waiver. Reduced fees are also available to students for whom fees would be a barrier to participation. A request from the student or the teacher for the submission fee waiver should be submitted on school letterhead and included with the work in place of the submission fee.
