Financial Aid

American Learning Systems, Inc., has again contracted with Private School Aid Service (PSAS) to review our financial aid requests. The function of PSAS is to provide a reasonable assessment of the ability of each family to pay for the education of their children at a private school. PSAS does not make any decisions about the amounts of financial aid awarded. Please follow the directions on the PSAS request form in order for PSAS to process your request timely and accurately. Recipients and amounts of aid will still be determined by American Heritage School. You will not receive results from Private School Aid Service. An award/denial letter from the school will be automatically sent to you in 3-4 weeks. The items listed below must be completed in order to process your request.

1. A complete copy (with all supporting schedules) of the parents’/guardians’ personal income tax returns (1040s) and their corporate (1120s), if applicable, for the past three years. A copy of all W-2’s must accompany the personal returns. Please provide us with a complete copy we can keep; we do not return this documentation.

2. Written verification of any outside sources of funding must also be submitted, such as child support (divorce decree), alimony (divorce decree), relative support, disability income, or any other Social Security benefits.

3. A check in the amount of $25.00 payable to American Heritage School should be enclosed in order to cover the non-refundable processing costs associated with your request.

4. The above information should be submitted to the Business Office at American Heritage School in one complete package.

5. Financial aid is limited and will be granted on a first come, first served basis.

Because of changing circumstances for both parents and the School, financial aid is reviewed annually to determine if families qualify and to what extent; therefore, every year documents must be submitted as soon as possible for consideration, particularly if there are any significant changes that might affect the amount of financial aid. Financial aid is available to all students who qualify, regardless of race, color, creed, or gender.
