Communications
Our students benefit greatly from the close, regular home-school communication that is vital to our program. A comprehensive report is issued weekly. It outlines the week's activities and indicates a student's progress in meeting short-term academic goals. There is a section designed for comments so that parents may respond to the teacher's report. In addition all grades can viewed online.
Report cards are issued at nine week intervals with a parent-teacher conference day scheduled at the end of each quarter. Midway through the quarter (nine weeks), interim reports are issued to students having difficulty in a particular subject. Teachers are available for conferences or telephone calls before and after school. Our teachers understand the need for close home-school communication and make every effort to return calls as quickly as possible.
Results of spring standardized tests and student progress data are used by teachers and administrators to consider proper placement of each student for the next school year.
