American Heritage School International Program

About the School

American Heritage School offers an excellent college preparatory program to students from around the world who seek to study in the United States. The school has two 40-acre campuses located in South Florida one outside of Ft. Lauderdale (Plantation) and one just north of Boca Raton (Delray Beach).

American Heritage features:

  • State-of-the-art facilities on two 40-acre campuses
  • Pre-medical, pre-law and pre-engineering programs for students
  • 22 Advanced Placement courses for college credit
  • Grade level and honors placement available
  • 3 times the national average placement at prestigious U.S. colleges and universities
  • High School exposure to 150 different U.S. universities
  • Award winning Fine Arts program
  • State of the art technology integration labs and library/media center
  • Athletic teams in all major sports (with a no cut policy)
  • Extensive after school activities
  • Olympic-size pool, gymnasium and tennis complex (at both sites)
  • $25 million Center for the Arts on the Plantation campus
  • Fully Accredited by AISF and SACS

The schools population is culturally diverse with students representing 43 countries from around the world. International students who choose to board are immediately immersed into American culture and language. In addition to a student's regular academic classes, one to two hours of English language instruction is provided daily. Living with an American family produces more opportunity for language development and practice.

Boarding Arrangements
Students participating in the International Program are housed with families of American Heritage students or carefully selected local families. The families provide a safe, caring environment for students entrusted to them. Students are well-supervised at school and at home to ensure their safety and well-being. We believe that this type of living arrangement is most beneficial to students enrolled in this program. The family unit provides warmth and support not found in traditional boarding programs.

How to Apply

For acceptance into the American Heritage International Program, families must supply the following:

1. Complete academic records from the age of 12, translated into English. Academic records must include subjects (classes) taken, evidence of satisfactory completion of subjects, duration of classes ( example: Algebra I, one academic school year, Monday through Friday, one hour per day)

3. Copies of the student's passport
